Otelier on the Road: A Busy Start to Events Season

Written by Jason Q. Freed | May 8, 2026 5:03:55 PM

It’s been a fast and energizing start to events season for the Otelier team. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been on the road connecting with hotel operators, partners, and industry leaders across the country – and every conversation has reinforced why showing up in person still matters.

For us, these events aren’t less about presentations or demos and more about listening – sitting down with hoteliers to understand what’s really happening inside their operations, where processes break down, where data falls short, and where opportunities exist to do things better. Those insights come back with us, shaping how we think about our platform, our roadmap, and the solutions we build.

Because we work in the business of travel, we believe we should be out there experiencing it firsthand – walking hotel lobbies, talking to operators, and seeing the industry in motion.

Here’s a look at a few of the places we’ve been recently:

Otelier Leadership Conference

We brought the extended Otelier leadership team together in Denver for a few days of focused collaboration. The agenda: align on mission and vision, prioritize the product roadmap, and dig into how AI can help accelerate R&D and improve the customer experience. The conversations were candid, the ideas were big, and the energy in the room was undeniable. We’re excited to take what came out of those sessions and turn it into meaningful progress for our customers.

Stonebridge Leadership Conference

We were excited to build on our partnership with Stonebridge at their 2026 Leadership Conference, Next Starts Now, in Houston. On stage, Otelier’s Russell A. Meek joined Stonebridge’s Kelly Baker, George Vandyke, and Chris Cheney to talk through a full data platform rollout across their portfolio. The vision is clear: one unified platform powering P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and BI data across every property—driving speed, scalability, and AI-powered innovation.

EOS Leadership Conference

At the EOS user conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Joel Houghton represented Otelier on the ground, connecting with attendees and showcasing our full product suite. EOS Hospitality brings together more than 50 unique properties across 15 destinations, offering everything from urban lifestyle hotels to mountainside retreats and beachfront escapes. It was a great opportunity to engage with a team that’s deeply focused on delivering distinctive guest experiences across a diverse portfolio.

HEI Leadership Conference

In Orlando, Leanna Enger and Rupali Sawhney spent time with the team at HEI Hotels & Resorts, a leading hospitality investment and management company known for operating a diverse portfolio of full-service, luxury, and lifestyle hotels. The conversations focused on how operators are thinking about performance, profitability, and guest experience in today’s environment – and how better access to data can support smarter decisions across the board.

Remington Leadership Conference

In Fort Worth, Texas, Leanna Enger and Alexys Mitchell connected with leaders from Remington Hospitality, a hotel management company known for its performance-driven approach and focus on operational excellence. It was another great chance to exchange ideas around how data can better support decision-making at both the property and portfolio level, especially as operators continue to balance profitability with evolving guest expectations.

Sage Future User Conference

At the Sage Future user conference in San Francisco, Jason Freed took the stage to share insights from the Hotel Operations Index, a joint research effort between Otelier, Sage, and Agilysys. Based on feedback from 100 hoteliers, the session explored how operators are connecting data across systems – and where gaps still exist. The conversations that followed were just as valuable, with operators sharing how these challenges show up in their day-to-day operations.

We’re just getting started – and if the first few weeks are any indication, it’s going to be a big year on the road.
